Remembered Today:

New Search system

The Australian War Memorial has a prototype search system up

Prototype site - Find a Person

As many of our website visitors are looking for information about family and friends, we thought we'd try to make it easier to search for people in our collections. Its a new idea we are working on and it is not quite ready for release, but your ideas can help us. Take a look at the Find a Person site and send us your feedback. Send your comments to webmaster@awm.gov.au

I have tried it today (also have the high distinction of being the first to offer feed back  )

Paul Hagon, IT Section, Australian War Memorial would welcome any suggestions, improvements as this is a live test area.

Wish the PRO would view and copy :(

Hi Peter

Had a look at this new facility and it certainly gives a good lead in to people who are new at searching for those who served in the Australian forces.

Cheers

Had a quick look in relation to my research of Francis John Vasey. Already found lots more info, ie The Red Cross and Missing records. It looks like this is going to be a very useful site/research facility.
