Aaron Nelson Posted 22 May , 2005 Share Posted 22 May , 2005 Hi Pals. Does anyone has any info on the actions and movements of the 25th Division during the month of October 1918, and in particular for the Battle of the Sell and Sambre. Any info would be much appreciated, and also if anyone has a map showing the battle progress that would be great. Thanks in advance for any pal able to help out. cheers Aaron. Landsturm Posted 22 May , 2005 Share Posted 22 May , 2005 I only know what the Long, Long Trail-site tells us; " the Division fought the Passage of the Sambre-Oise Canal". I`ve been trying to locate some possible French units operating in the area myself.
Aaron Nelson Posted 22 May , 2005 Author Share Posted 22 May , 2005 Landstrum, Another Pal Munckin provided me with some good info on this battle involving a lot of units. I can post it here if you want or if you want to PM/Email Munchkin for the info. Munckin, thanks for the info you provided, very good and exactly what I was after. Best regards Aaron.
