doogal Posted 16 May , 2005 Share Posted 16 May , 2005 Hi Just for interest I noticed that a new memorial disk has been fixed to the wall of Hay's Wharf in London. This is on the south side of the river, just before you get to HMS Belfast. Shiny polished thing - i tried to get a photo with my phone, but just couldn't get any detail from it. regards doogal
Mat McLachlan Posted 17 May , 2005 Share Posted 17 May , 2005 Hi Doogal, What's it say? Mat
doogal Posted 17 May , 2005 Author Share Posted 17 May , 2005 I don't recal the exact text - I'll have a look later. It is to the memory of the employees of Hay's Wharf killed in the "two great wars" - i remember that bit as it was an interesting choice of phrase I've never seen before. Nothing wrong with it, just never seen it before. regards doogal
