michellemcleod Posted 12 May , 2005 Share Posted 12 May , 2005 As my ggf died at Gallipoli on the HMS Hythe, I need to ask and this may be a stupi question, however cut me some slack its early morning and I'm Blonde *lol* As he was remembered at the Helles Memorial, would a Death certificate still have been issued for him, and would I apply for that as per normal? or does it change because of the way his death was seen? Thanks Chelle
ypres1418 Posted 12 May , 2005 Share Posted 12 May , 2005 chelle, as far as i am aware you would go about it in the normal way, even though his body was not found (or identified) he would still have a death certificate. I hope you find what your looking for. Mandy
stiletto_33853 Posted 12 May , 2005 Share Posted 12 May , 2005 Chelle, Looking through the GRO microfiche, if your great grandfather was Percy R. Hunt No 1541, R.E. you can find him in 1915, Volume I.2, Page 139. Thats the only Percy Hunt that I could find from the R.E. Andy
