Bert Heyvaert Posted 12 May , 2005 Share Posted 12 May , 2005 Hi all, Was driving along the road from Hellfire corner to the A 19 today, the one where the railway Ieper-Roeselare used to be. I noticed a mechanical digger and a tripod in the newly ploughed field just to the East of Railway Wood. Apparently some digging had allready been done. I did not have the time to stop by, and will not be able to do so untill the end of next week, as I'm off for research abroad. I wondered if anyone has an idea what is going on... an archaeological excavation? cables? ... In any case, the work seems to be spot on the German front line.
