A bit of a long shot I know but are the triangular 'On War Service' badges, which are numbered on the back, and given to munititon workers researchable and therefore making the recipient identifiable.

Ian - I don't think the records exist anymore. If they do I know Jean would be interested if there is a record as she has one of each of the official badges.

Lee,

I am asking on behalf of a work colleague, who is distantly related to Lilian Baker, who was Chief Superintendent at the Woolwich Arsenal. She has in her possession a couple of these badges and wants to know which one was Miss Baker's.

Ian - the simple answer to your question is no.

The 30 minute answer can be reached via this link >

Tom,

An excellent article - the triangular badge was the one in question. However I also have one of those Admiralty Blue ones and I now know what it is - Many thanks Ian
