Robert Armstrong

A friend was asked for info today on a Robert Armstrong from Broughshane, Co. Antrim. He was shown WW1 medals relating to this man and documentation. He was supposed to have been with the RNAS and was sunk when HMS Louvain was torpedoed. He survived and was later RAF.

Interestingly one medal was sent by Admiralty (documented) and the other by RAF (documented).

I've tried MICs but get nowhere. I've also searched for HMS Louvain and I've seen a website which gives a crew listing. I do not know if it is mising bug chunks but Armstrong certainly does not appear on it.

Any ideas Naval types?

Will get more info next week.
