11th West Yorks

11089 Pte William Wall landed in France with the 11st (Service) Battalion, the West Yorkshire Regiment. He eventually rose to become Acting Warrant Officer Calass 1 - which I imagine was Acting Regimental Sergeant Major.

Can anyone interested in this unit please confirm this and if possible tell me anything they know about William Wall?
