Remembering Pte Albert Lamb who arrived fresh from Hull, served 22 days in theatre then disappeared in the disastrous attack on trench 45 of the Zwartleen Salient along with mates from 2 Bn KOYLI, at around 2:30 a.m. 7th May 1915. His first and last action. And as a miner from Sheffield he had no need to join up.

Albert's story is/was in the 'Forgotten Heroes' section.

He will be remembered on 8th May at the Menen Gate, with a wreath laid from Yorkshire (North and West) Army Cadet officer and witnessed by his great niece Elaine Lamb.
