Hello Guys

I am just getting through Arthur Gould Lee's two books, No Parachute and Open Cockpit. Both are excellent and I would reccomend them to anyone who has an interest in the war in the air.

Does anyone know what happend Mr Lee, after the war. I know that he became Air Chief Marshall, but what about after that, where was he from etc.. Any info would be great.

Thanks

Alex.

Go to www.rafweb.org, click on 'main menu', then go to 'Air Officer Biographies' [you'll need to scroll down a long way], look for ASG Lee. [His final rank was Air Vice Marshal - died 21/5/75]

Sorry to answer this the lazy way, but any answer I gave would be a precis of that site, and probably therefore plagiarism!

You might also like to try for a copy of AVM Lee's third book Flypast which includes episodes from his post Great War career as well as a bit more on things 1914-1919.

Regards

Gareth
