Guest Northumberland Posted 28 April , 2005 Share Posted 28 April , 2005 I visted this cemetery with my mother on Sunday 24 April 2005 so she could pay her respects to her cousin Ronald Shears who was KIA February 1943 and is buried alongside his crewmates. This is a small cemetry comprising of around 100 WW1 casualties and 10 WW2 ( all airmen) . I didn't have time to take pictures of all the headstones but do have a picture of 1 Northumberland Fusilier, 1 DLI, and several Indian's headstones and one Jewish. If anyone would like copies email me.
East Lancs Posted 24 May , 2005 Share Posted 24 May , 2005 WW1 Cemeteries.com We visited this cemetery in January 2004 taking a train from Marseille where we had completed Mazargues War Cemetery, within the cemetery in the gardeners section was an ancient grass roller still with the IWGC carving on it. Incidentally, we had to wait 4 hours for a train back to Lyon! This is very rarely visited, we had trouble finding it but the locals were delightfully friendly. http://ww1cemeteries.com http://www.ww1cemeteries.com/ww1frenchceme...s/stgermain.htm
