7:29am Posted 28 April , 2005 Share Posted 28 April , 2005 Could some have a look for E.N.C Royall on the SGDW for me please, turns out i have another grandfather who served as well, he died from the effects of gas in 1920.. Cheers Jim Seems like the more i look the more and more of my family were caught up in this conflict.. I have the family tree back some 6 generations and at least 4 generations on the Royall side were fighting men!
Tom Morgan Posted 28 April , 2005 Share Posted 28 April , 2005 Jim - there are 8 soldiers called ROYALL in SDGW but none with a name beginning with E, N or C. The latest death recorded for any these men is 1919. There are 15 soldiers called ROYAL but the latest death recorded is 1918. There are no officers recorded with either spelling. In addition - Soldiers Died is not very good at recording soldiers who died post-war. Tom
