Roy Evans Posted 28 April , 2005 Share Posted 28 April , 2005 The unit history of the KRRC is rather vague on their action in 2nd Ypres; "On 27th March they were relieved from the trench line at St Eloi and went into reserve near Poperinghe. They went back into the line, in the Polygon Wood area about the middle of April and the 3rd and 4th Battalions were alternately in the trenches or in billets west of Ypres until the outbreak of the 2nd Ypres. After the outbreak of the battle until the withdrawal of May 3/4, they had a fairly quiet time, being chiefly occupied in digging the new line." Hope this helps.
