Books on RAMC

Hi,

Do any pals know of any good books covering the RAMC during WW!, especially for the period 1914-1916.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

You could try Roses Of No Mans Land by Lyn McDonald, still available and reasonably priced or one that i was after last year called The Long Carry about the work of S.Bs in an infantry battalion. It is quite rare and expensive as i found out when my wife refused to buy it for me at Christmas. £95 was the cost she was quoted for the book.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look them up.

My GFather was with the RAMC from Aug 1914 but it is very difficult to find books that cover their activites
