I have two men on my local Memorial who ended up in the Labour Corps.

Is it possible to find out what sort of work a particular Coy was involved in.

Firstly the 90th Coy and secondly the 101st Coy.

The chap in the 90th was KIA on 18/8/1918 and the 101st DOW on the 17/5/1918.

Any help greatly appareciated.

Hello Glyn,

The 101st Coy was formed from 34th Bn, The Royal Fusiliers. I hope this helps a little. I cannot help with the origins of the 90th Company.

Ivor Lee is the expert on Labour, so he may help you out.

Cheers,

Wienand

Thanks Wienand

The guy I have in the 101st was in the 34th Fusiliers and the chap in the 90th was transferred from the Kings Liverpool regiment.
