37th Posted 25 April , 2005 Share Posted 25 April , 2005 My 26 year wait to find my uncle's medals is almost over. I say almost because although we've found the victory medal we're still awaiting to see if the BWM will turn up. My 78 yr old aunt who has had to move into wardened serviced accommodation has found one but not the other yet. Still to actually hold the very medal which was awarded to our family member after waiting so long is so special. From my early teens when my interest arose in the Great War i have searched for these medals, some family members would say you'll never find them after all this time but I never gave up hope.
