Aurel Sercu Posted 25 April , 2005 Share Posted 25 April , 2005 Today at 11 a.m. there was a special ceremony for Anzac Day and a Last Post at the Menin Gate. The sky was dark and clouded, and there was rain. But that did not make the ceremony - which lasted approx. 40 minutes - less impressive. Below a handful of photos. BatterySergeantMajor Posted 25 April , 2005 Share Posted 25 April , 2005 Hi Aurel and friends "down under" A pity you missed the ceremony at Tyne Cot Cemetery, organised by Zonnebeke City Council and "Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917" at 10.00 o' clock. Very moving: buglers, Last Post, exhortation, Belgian military guard of honour and most important of all: more than 200 people attended this on a Monday morning.
