Andrew P Posted 25 April , 2005 Share Posted 25 April , 2005 This may be of interest. It has been reported in todays press that Western Australian historian Wes Olsen has discovered the bones of several men in a gully that was the scene of the August fighting. It is not yet known whether these bodies are Turkish or Australian but they are in an area where a platoon of men from the 15th Battalion were lost and not recovered during the fighting of August 1915. The local CWGC staff were informed of the find.
