Gordon Selfridge Convalescent Camp for American Soldiers

Gordon Selfridge lived in Highcliffe Castle during the war years and founded a convalescent camp for American soldiers on the cricket ground in Highcliffe, Dorset (was Hampshire).  I have an article from the St Louis Globe Democratic 14 January 1918 giving details of the camp.  I am puzzled by the statement - they will live in PAFRA - in cosy huts, which are already in place  These huts revolve on their concrete foundations in such a manner that they can always be facing the sun.

I would appreciate any info on the huts and/or the camp itself.

Thank you.
