TomP Posted 8 May Share Posted 8 May Hi If you want more info on this unit, this is a great source: The story of the 1st Battalion Cape Corps, 1915-1919 (sahistory.org.za) There looks to be 10 'Du Plessis's' mentioned in the roll at the end but can't see a 'A T' Du Plessis. I had research done on a Cape Corps recipient of my own in case you were interested: All the best Tom
trench whistle Posted 8 May Author Share Posted 8 May Very interesting, thank you for sharing that. I will check the medal again to see if I read the initials incorrectly.
trench whistle Posted 8 May Author Share Posted 8 May Think I have found him in the roll. So I now have his number, 1344 and trade Signaller.
TomP Posted 8 May Share Posted 8 May Good find! I’m glad the source came in good use If you want further research done I would thoroughly recommend Dewald Nel. All the best Tom
