It could be 320267 as per the actual MIC.

TNA have interpreted as 320264.

Medal Roll shows 320267, so that is the correct number. He was in the 24th Bn Welsh Rgt

Suggest you have a look at the Long Long Trail website on how to research a soldier

In particular this page on the 74th Yeomanry and their famous or infamous 'Broken Spur' Divisional Patch reflecting the feelings of all soldiers of every rank in the Yeomanry becoming infantry

https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army/order-of-battle-of-divisions/74th-yeomanry-division/

His Yeomanry number indicates he was a wartime enlistment on or around the first two weeks of October 1914 when he enlisted in the 2/1st Pembroke Yeomanry

https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army/regiments-and-corps/the-british-yeomanry-regiments-of-1914-1918/pembroke-yeomanry-castlemartin/

In all probability he went with the 1/1st to Egypt as shown above.

It appears the formal transfer date was 16th December 1916 when the men were renumbered in the 320*** series.

The Medal Roll on Ancestry shows he was an Acting Sergeant, unfortunately Acting ranks were not shown the medals, hence the medals are inscribed Cpl which was his substantive rank.

Were they in the ICC at time of death or were they still in the 24th Bn?
