jack Posted 25 April Share Posted 25 April In my grandfather's Attestation Papers, under Item 4 on a particular page which asks for 'PASSED CLASSES OF INSTRUCTION?' is added; M. J. Longman. It is entered twice, first in January 1910 then again in December 1910. Does anyone know what the courses were about? Jack

Chris_Baker Posted 25 April Share Posted 25 April Without seeing it, it's hard to know but I would hazard a guess that it begins MI for Mounted Infantry.
jack Posted 25 April Author Share Posted 25 April I have just read in THE CONNAUGHT RANGERS (Formerly the 94th) by Lieu-Col Jourdain (vol2), page 396, 1911 that; 'On October 2nd, an Officer and thirty-five N.C.O.'s and Men were sent to Longmoor Camp for mounted infantry training . The party returned on January 31st 1912.' Might this be the answer? .'
