Sappersnooper Posted 20 April Share Posted 20 April I have found a list of chemical fillings of British Gas Shells in archive but cannot decipher the abbreviations. The most common appear to be as follows: HS, CG (Chlorine Gas?), NC, SK and KSK Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any responses. JMB1943 Posted 20 April Share Posted 20 April I believe that SK / KSK refer to South Kensington, the location of Imperial College, wherein these particular nasties were developed.in the laboratories of the Chemistry Dept. Regards, JMB

You wouldn't happen to know what 'BB' meant that was used to name one of the British gas shells?
jay dubaya Posted 21 April Share Posted 21 April BB = Mustard Gas and comes from the chemical name ‘beta-beta-dichlorethyl sulphide’.
