Remembered Today:

6 pdr Gun Charges

What do:

7 1/2 oz MD 4 1/4

and

8 oz 11 1/2 drs

mean please?

Clearly the first number is a mass. It seems a bit low to be the total mass of the charge but I can't see what else it could be. As for the other numbers and the letters, I am (yet again) clueless.
