Malcolm McClenaghan Posted 15 April Share Posted 15 April I have found that the person above is a linear relative of mine, I believe he once had an address in a hotel in Quebec. Although served in Australian Inf he is originally from outside Dungannon, Northern Ireland. Any further information would be appreciated.
Admin DavidOwen Posted 15 April Admin Share Posted 15 April Welcome to the forum Malcolm It would be useful if you could tell the members what you already know in as much detail as possible. That way there will not be any confusion or duplication of effort. Good luck with your research

stevenbecker Posted 15 April Share Posted 15 April You may know, but it was common in those days to given an address where they could possibly be reached at that time Many Aussie records show, a hotel or post office, even a Police station, as an address, as most men were moving from job to job, finding work. This was as many had no family here, after moving to Australia Of cause that's fine for a short time, but most men moved on to the next job somewhere else.
