This one is for a friend.

Can someone tell me more about: William Toker, 19481, East Yorkshire Regiment?

and about:

John H. Sisson, 17730, probably Northumberland Fusiliers?

Both survived the war. I'm still the dark about these two.

Cheers

There's a MIC for John H. SISSON, 17/730, Northumberland Fusiliers

For starters I suggest you look at the Medal Roll(s) to see which battalion(s) he served with - then look out War Diary(ies) at TNA

The Medal Rolls only show the 17th Battalion. The 1914/15 Star Rolls shows that he entered a Theatre of War on the 20 November 1915 (can't find MIC on Ancestry)

The Medal Rolls only show the 1/11th East Yorkshire Regiment. The 1914/15 Star Rolls shows that he entered a Theatre of War (France) on the 21 December 1915.
