mrfrank Posted 11 April Share Posted 11 April A friend has recently purchased a camper van and would like to visit the main British-related WW1 sites with a couple of friends (me included). Hopefully, some forum members have done similar and if so, could anyone recommend suitable, decent sites on The Somme or in the Ypres area (but not necessarily restricted to these areas). EHU would be desirable but not essential. Just starting to look into this and may still go down the conventional B&B route if suitable sites are lacking. Thanks in advance. Cazamoto Posted 15 April Share Posted 15 April We go over to the Somme and Ypres in our campervan. We actually just returned 10 days ago. We used the camping car park card which you can purchase before travel or at the machine at the site. We stayed at Bapume & Bray sur Somme average price €13 with ehu (no showers or on site toilets) but aire facilities in toilet emptying, fresh water, bins. Campsites we used / use are camping Vélodrome in Albert and camping Juedstration (I will have spelt it wrong) in Ypres.
