Alan Platt Posted 10 April Share Posted 10 April Hi, I have recently discovered that my relatives served during WW1 and thankfully all survived the war. Here is what I have been able to discover Robert Platt served in the RHA. However, I believe he may have previously served in 4 Royal Irish Rifle and Imperial Yeomanry in the BoerWar. Grateful if anyone could fill in the gaps or confirm the above. Regards Alan
Allan1892 Posted 10 April Share Posted 10 April Find My Past hold his record of when he enlisted on the 10th November 1902. His attestation (copy attached courtesy of Find My Past) shows that he had previous milita service with the 4th Royal Irish Rifles, service number 4051. His form B103, Casualty Form - Active Service, shows that he enlisted on the 10th November 1902 for 3 years and 9 years in the reserve. His Statement of Services shows that he joined the RHA at Glasgow on the 11th November 1902. He did serve in South Africa.
