Dragon Posted 7 April Share Posted 7 April (edited) I see that for some reason the WFA Facebook account today has linked to my piece on le cimetière militaire de Mongoutte / the German cemetery Mongoutte near Ste-Marie aux Mines. (That's no problem; I'm happy that it will be re-read.) Should anyone feel like reading it, here it is. In the piece, I wrote that Mongoutte was included in Unesco’s proposed tentative list of Sites funéraires et mémoriels de la Première Guerre mondiale (Front Ouest) but the decision on the list was postponed in 2018. It was included in 2023, as number 66, along with nine others in Haut-Rhin. I have been to them all except Moosch and written about several.
