All i need is the name of his regiment. He served in WW1, was born in West Derby, Liverpool, and was an Auxiliary fireman in WW2.  With thanks.

Welcome to the forum. There is an Albert E Swinscoe who served in the Notts and Derbys regiment. Seems to me the only Albert E I can find.

There is an Albert Edward Swinscoe in the Kings Liverpool Regiment (Dockers Btn) and a few pages of burnt records mentioning a few more service numbers on Find my Past

Based on what little info you have given us, the most likely man is this one who  was in Kings Liverpool and other regiments. His service record is on Ancestry - click

He was living in 1914 at     66 Gladstone Rd, Edge Hill L'pool . Mother Elizabeth

You need to supply more info on his date of birth, parents, addresses, and so on for one to be sure

Hi James,

IF he were the Sherwood Forester, he was this man...

His 305036 number probably places him in one of the units of 8th Battalion in 1917.

Regards
Chris
