Hey guys. Found this casing today near Lonsdale Cemetery. Any help on if ww1. Country of Origin or calibre etc please?

I think it says KN VII 16. Any ideas?20240404_214443.jpg.bac053eef1e6020c88c88f517c57a3a6.jpg20240404_214603.jpg.c35d3d2e8e723a1a210ccf8fc34b863f.jpg

KN would be Kings Norton, 1916, MkVII ball (.303 British).

The shoulder and neck of the case are gone. The double bend of the short shoulder typically work-hardens the brass, making it more subject to corrosion and cracking than the case body.
