KENDO Posted 21 March Share Posted 21 March Hi all, Can anyone tell me please why two New Army divisions (21 and 37 Divisions) would permanently exchange brigades in July 1916. I know six regular divisions permanently exchanged a brigade with six New Army Division's in late 1915 for 'stiffening' purposes, but I am just intrigued why two New Army Division's would exchange a brigade.
