Remembered Today:

Surrey Yeomanry

I'm mounting up the War and Victory medals for a friend.

The recipient was Pte Stanley Jasper Mudd (45843)  (2844)

Surrey Yeomanry.

I'd like to add a bit of information about Stanley. With the help of Ancestry I know where and when he was born, 1894, and where he lived on his death in 1974.

Would it be possible to find what Squadron of the Surrey Yeomanry he served in. Also did he served in France/ Belgium or Salonkika.

Thanks

Terry

I have had a look in the Surrey Yeomanry history but it only mentions ORs who received awards and Pte Mudd is not listed. Again if he had received an award he might have got a mention in the war diaries but ORs rarely get named.
