The contract for Shetland's first Wireless Station was announced in March 1914. The Station was built in 3 acres of ground on the hill at Sound on the outskirts of Lerwick. The Station comprised 2 large transmitting masts, a large central building housing instruments and a number of dwelling houses to accommodate 13 families including the officer in command and telegraphy staff.  The Shetland Times reports that this project took 15 months to complete in full.

I'm interested in finding out more about the naval staff who commanded and ran this W/T shore station.
