jack Posted 14 March Share Posted 14 March In trying to determine the enlistment date of my great uncle, 4217 Alick Conlon, Connaught Rangers, and 61896 Machine Gun Corps, I have seen an entry in his will. It states that his Paybook was opened 28th July 1916. There is only reference to the MGC in the remaining pages and none to the Rangers. Would this date only refer to when he transferred to the MGC or to his enlistment date? At what point did they make out a will? Jack Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
