Can anyone throw any light on the following, please......

m2/048188 Pte W Young 176 Coy 12th Divisional Ammunition Park Army Service Corps.

On the 14/1/1916 was awarded, by the OC 12th DAP, 'Deprived of two days pay' for 'Disobedience of GRO 1032.   The offence listed in his service record as taking place on the 23/12/1915 'in the field'.

Further remarks on service record, final column read,  B2069 d/1 1 16  Pii 4/16

Do these abbreviations mean anything to anybody?

Thank you for reading.

The abbreviations usually refer to the Order in which the event was promulgated: in this case, B.2069 dated 1 January 1916; Part II 4/16; presumably the fourth order of the year. GRO should be [General?] Routine Order or similar.

GRO 1032 is ''Road Control ''

Part 1 /  'When lorries are on the road a 'Look-Out' man must invariably be placed at the back of each vehicle to warn the driver when vehicles approaching from the rear overtake the lorry .

Part2/  Men in charge of horses or any other vehicle, whether horse or M.T. are on no account to halt outside estaminets and similar places ,or leave their animals or vehicles unattended on the roadside .

                                          Regards
