Start lines 7th June 1917

Hello Everyone,

Could someone please direct me with where the following Divisions had their start lines 7th June 2917, as there is a bit if confusion..

16th Irish Division 

36th Ulster Divsion 

19th (Western) Division 

Did they adavance from the village of Vierstraat as i assumed the 16 @ 36 divisions advanced from the kemmel area towards whytschaete either side of the road wijschatestraat... I maybe wrong.

Please advise and i thank you in anticipation

On TrenchMapper (Western Front Association), relevant map is 28 SW 1:20,000 Battle of Messines IX Corps overlay, which is incredibly detailed. The three attacking divisions used the brigade sectors shown on the map below (from Second Army WD, WO 95/275/3):

36 Div – Adv HQ at Dranoutre, Main at Kemmel
16 Div – Adv HQ at Locre, Main at Scherpenberg
19 Div – Adv HQ at Westoutre, Main at Scherpenberg
