AdrianC Posted 9 March Share Posted 9 March Have been unable to locate a Pension Card for the above. Have tried numerous combinations with no luck. I would very much appreciate it if any forum members who have the time & access could apply a fresh pair of eyes. Thanks in advance. Admin RussT Posted 9 March Admin Share Posted 9 March I can't see one. Is there something you suspect that indicates he might have made a claim? Regards Russ
AdrianC Posted 9 March Author Share Posted 9 March Russ He was shot in the chest on the 4th September 1918 on the Macedonian front. From this injury I thought he would have received a pension? Adrian
Admin RussT Posted 9 March Admin Share Posted 9 March Yes, I do now see an Admission/Discharge record for him for 28 General Hospital with a GSW in Left Chest. I have come across examples before of not being able to find a PIC for such potential cases - either due to no claim being made, the PIC etc has been lost/destroyed or it is there but badly transcribed so can't easily be found/retrieved. It doesn't look like the latter as I have also tried various permutations. Russ
AdrianC Posted 9 March Author Share Posted 9 March Russ Many thanks for looking. It does look like there is no PIC unfortunately. He came from Plymouth so will have to look at the local papers & hope I can find any extra information. Adrian
