Cap badge ID please

Hi folks,

Is this an ASC cap badge? One of my elderly library patrons will be visiting me on Monday for some research. An ID would help.

Thanks,

Yes it could well be Dave.

I think I can see that the middle is the cut out cipher which would fit. I thought at first I could see the letter S but not so sure now.

Thanks Dai. All I know about him at the moment is he worked with horses.

Don't know as yet. I'll be talking to the lady Monday when I'll get the full story.  Just needed the cap badge info first to help search. I may be back!

Bang on once again  I'd say.
Well done Tom.

Dave,
Do what Sherlock Holmes used to do:
" Madam, apart from the fact that this man is John Clancy of Silverspring, County Wexford, later of the Stork Hotel Liverpool, whose father is similarly named, and resides in Liverpool, a keen sportsman, excelling at hockey at Bannow, and athletics at Killinick, who was commissioned as a Lieutenant into the Army Service Corps, disembarking in France on the 27th of February that year, (I'm unsure at the moment if that was before or after lunch, but that at the moment is rather elementary), I regret that I know absolutely nothing about him."

Thrust the reserch notes into her hand, turn away disinterestedly, and take a long puff on your clay pipe, or a fix of suitable opioid.

I laughed out loud at that. Thanks for the script Dai! If this jigsaw all fits she'll have a coronary. Luckily we have defibrillators on-site

Seriously though, thanks all. I'll let you know the results.

Well I have never looked forward more to the return of one of our dear library patrons than that dear old lady, what with the info so generously supplied by your goodselves. Alas neither hide nor hair of the dear lady since.

News will follow. Promise!
