Dave G Posted 6 March Share Posted 6 March I am currently reading the English edition of Lewis Freeman's book To Kiel in the Hercules published by John Murray, 1919. The American edition published the same year by Dodd, Mead was illustrated with a score or more of black-and-white photos presumably taken by the author. My copy is not illustrated at all. I would be grateful if one of my fellow forum members would check their Murray edition and see if it has photo illustrations. I'd like to determine if the English edition simply wasn't illustrated or if I have a defective copy. There is no "list of illustrations" page in my copy either. Thanks in advance. All the best, Dave
Dust Jacket Collector Posted 6 March Share Posted 6 March You’re right, the U.K. edition isn’t illustrated, neither is the jacket whilst the US edition is.
Dave G Posted 6 March Author Share Posted 6 March Thanks, Alan. Such a pity, I found the U.S. edition online and there were some interesting photos. All the best, Dave
seaJane Posted 7 March Share Posted 7 March bookfinder.com has the US edition but the cheapest copy is £51, I'm afraid... sJ
Dave G Posted 7 March Author Share Posted 7 March Thanks. My Murray copy is particularly nice with the jacket so I'll make do it. Thanks to all. Dave
