Hi

I have afield message book with writing and drawings  in.It also has separate  pages from a diary  trench layouts etc. Also orders written on a order message pad sheet .

My question is does  anyone know its worth  and where would be the best place to sell it.

Many thanks

Value is quite hard to gauge, the information contained in the orders/messages, the officer sending the messages, and the regiment he belonged to may all affect the price someone would be willing to pay.
My advice would be to scan or photograph the pages as clearly as possible and list for 7 days or longer on an online auction site, where it will be seen by the widest possible audience.

The value is not what you can sell it for but what it contains.

The book  belonged to Lt C E Bowden who went onto become Ltcol

He served in The DCLI. The order on army form c2121 is to stand to.
The book has writing about Palistine with drawings of aeroplanes and maps. The diary bits are separate and I think about France 1916

Surely the dairy bits would have gone off by now?
