soonguy Posted 2 March Share Posted 2 March A small school in Blundellsands/Crosby north of Liverpool was advertising itself in 1913 as being the headquarters of G Company, First Cadet Battallion, KLR. Please may I ask: Do you think this battallion was purely for older school pupils, or could it have drawn in other members from the locality. The headmaster himself had not served in the forces. Who would have been likely to have led the battallion? A school teacher with army experience, or would the KLR perhaps send someone from their nearby headquarters to conduct training sessions? Many thanks

He may have led G Company but the Battalion is mentioned in 1905 with pretty big noises at the top From the BNA RE: the death of Mr W.A.Harris FRSSA FSS
