Chrstmas books

I have just finished reading two of the many books that I received last Christmas:

A Muddy Trench: A Sniper's Bullet -- a story written with the aid of letters etc written by a young lieutenant of the Black Watch, Hamish Mann, who was killed just 5 days after his 21st birthday. The book gives an insight of a young man desperate to enlist even after he was first turned down on medical grounds.

Laugh Or Cry -- a collection of anecdotes from officers and other ranks, many funny, others more serious but a good read overall.

I assume your title is to avoid the use of the word associated with the winter festival which outside of the said event can bring down the wrath of members of the GWF :w00t:

nevertheless they seem more impressive presents than socks
