stephen p nunn Posted 22 February Share Posted 22 February Had a very enjoyable guided tour of Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome this morning. Always like looking at the reproduction Albatross DVa. It is in DV2263/17 Otto Kissenberth Jas markings. The yellow and white Edelweiss is a major feature. Have this in my collection - not sure it is contemporary? GROBBY Posted 23 February Share Posted 23 February A great museum and well worth a visit, The museum is housed on a first war airdrome and with a lot of the original buildings and tells the story of the first blitz and the Home Defence of the time
MikeW Posted 23 February Share Posted 23 February Is the repro Albatros the same one that was displayed at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in their big Western Front diorama a number of years ago? Painted as a captured machine if memory serves.
