Recommended Posts

This soldier was killed 25th August 1918 whilst serving wit3 the 10th Lancashire fusiliers

I am trying to establish where abouts I know the 10th were heavily involved in many actions but would appreciate any help to pinpoint where they were.

And any subsequent information

Thanks

Martinpuich area which ties in around his grave at Warlencourt 5 mins apart.

nice clear writing of the diary pages.

note CWGC has him recorded as Sydney and exhumed and reburied , presumably as they say from, "a battlefield grave" to a cemetery.

they were available on Ancestry, the only difference being.. wading through the process at NA you can download the complete diary, Ancestry you have to do a page at a time.
