MAS 1892 Revolver

KDOG

Recommended Posts

I have an 1892 MAS 8mm revolver. Can anyone tell me if they were ever parkerized or were there ever any reproductions made. I do know this particular gun was won at an international shooting competition in France in the 60's and was 1 of 3 guns in a set that were presented as a trophy. 20240218_205254.jpg.ccc007b60e9f5d8f5d49a59588da19aa.jpg20240218_205228.jpg.089e452ac01c7c1fc3d102d1abd1ffa4.jpg

It look nice, anyway i would tend here to later refurbishment, note the rust area on left frame? Maybe when You remove the sideplate You will see there the surface of parts, some of them are remained in original condition as hammer, side loading lever and trigger.

Thank you,

I also have an 11mm 1874 that matches this gun in finish and condition.  Also, a third I do not have yet which is also an 1874. I believe may be in original condition but in stainless finish. It makes sense if they were refurbished, because they are in like new condition. The only part that shows their age are the grips....
