Source of quote for every 1 Infantryman 9 others in support roles

Looking for the source of a quote,which I paraphrase ‘For every man at the sharp-end on the Western Front during the Great War (ie serving in an infantry battalion) there were another 9 who were responsible for getting him there (ie in some form of logistical/support capacity’ I came across this possibly 15 years ago It could be Gerard DeGroote, Brian Bond.

Can't remember the source, but long time ago was told 7:1,(similar ratio?) cannot say it is or isn't correct, seem to remember someone confirming this.
