Remembered Today:

Italian?

A detail from a postcard with "En Italie,  Fevrier 1918" written on it. Collar labels have 203 on them, apparently. Is this a French or Italian (or other?) cap?

As well as five British divisions, there were six French divisions on the Italian front.

I would go for the 203rd infantry regiment of the metropolitan army. They were in the 65th Infantry Division, itself within 31st Army Corps.

The soldier is wearing the lightly coloured horizon blue of the French Army, rather than the darker grey-green of the Italian Army.

Indeed! I have passed the details on to the owner of the postcard who expresses his thanks also.
