Hi , I was just wondering if anyone had any basic information regarding the details of how the postal system worked and what the journey involved was to get a letter from home to the front line , and then vice versa?

There is always the Long Long Trail

https://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/army-postal-service-1914-1919/

or the postal museum

https://www.postalmuseum.org/collections/ww1/

even the BBC

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01wq7j0

or dare I say a GWF search

Cheers Ken  much appreciated. I'd never even knew there was a  postal museum ,looks like it will be well worth a visit. I am writing a fictional story set in the great war so ,I have lots of random questions that keep croping up , thanks for the help.
