OLD ROBIN HOOD Posted 5 January Share Posted 5 January Greetings from an old outlaw. Firstly may I wish all of you out there a Very Happy New Year . I am doing research on 8444 Private George William Coates of the 2nd K.O.Y.L.I. who was born in Driffield which is local to me now. I obtained a copy of his M.I.C. which shows him entitled to the War and Victory medals . It also states that has was K.I.A. on 1/11/1914 so one would assume that he was also entitled to the 1914 or 1914-15 Star .There is no mention of this nor is there any date for his entry into a Theatre of War . So, I would welcome any opinion's as to how this oversite could have occurred. Old Robin Hood
